The HTML and CSS course is designed to teach beginners the basics in web design. HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are the foundational technology used to create and style websites. This course will show students how to organize web pages with HTML and CSS, and later style it visually using CSS to design visually pleasing and user-friendly websites.
The HTML Section, learners be taught about attributes, elements and the fundamental elements that make up web pages. Important topics include headings paragraphs images, links forms, tables, as well as semantic HTML tag. At the end of this section students will feel comfortable making a basic layout for a webpage and will be able to understand how HTML integrates with other parts of the internet.
The CSS section is focused on layout and styling techniques. Students will be taught about properties, selectors, and values that can be used to add styles and layouts to HTML elements. The fundamental concepts of color, typography, margins padding, borders, backgrounds as well as fonts, will be taught. Advanced topics such as Flexbox as well as CSS Grid will also be taught, giving students the tools necessary to create flexible designs that can adapt to the different sizes of screens and devices.
Through the course, students engage in hands-on activities by working on projects that enable them to use their skills and gain practical abilities. At the end of class, participants will possess the ability to design completely functional, appealing and user-friendly websites starting from the ground up.
